Version 1 of the iKits iPhone application allows you to view the heavyweight subbuteo team associated with any league side for seasons between 1970 and 1975.

If an away subbuteo kit was also associated with the team then a photograph of this strip is available as well.

Future versions of the application will be extended to provide

The ability to view the kits for Scottish, European and International sides.
Extend the seasons covered beyond 1975.
View kits for the same team from another season
Show all the teams associated with a reference number for a given season.

Note

Subbuteo was a very popular table football game from the 1950’s to the 1990’s that still enjoys an enthusiastic following of hobbyists and a vibrant online community. The players were made from plastic moulds and in the 1970’s were handpainted. The heavyweight figure was the predominant mould used in the 1970’s. It was replaced in the 1980’s by a more lightweight figure which was easier to machine paint.
